I was so sorry to hear of Emma’s passing – what a lady! She was a true leader in her time, both of the Democratic Party in New Britain, but also as a labor leader. I’ll never forget her for nominating me at the convention – and the stories she told me as we were waiting to go onstage, about her work with labor and many other adventures. I am sorry to miss her services, but I’ll bet she would understand why because I will be in New Hampshire supporting the candidate of my choice and being a part of this great democracy. Her spirit will live on in those of us who experienced her. I know she’s in a good place.
