A Presidential Debate Watch Party will be held Thursday, September 12th, at the Roma Sports Bar & Grill, 382 Allen Street New Britain from 8 to 11 p.m.
Democratic Town Committee members, volunteers and friends are invited to the watch party that will include pizza, appetizers and refreshments for the third nationally televised debate involving the crowded Democratic field.
The suggested donation is $20.20 payable to the New Britain Democratic Town Committee. Proceeds will support the DTC’s Get Out The Vote efforts in the 2019 Municipal Election.

The third televised debate will involve 10 of the declared candidates seeking to compete in next year’s primaries for the nomination at the national convention in Milwaukee next summer: Joe Biden, Corey Booker, Pete Buttigieg, Julian Castro, Kamala Harris, Amy Klobuchar, Beto O’Rourke, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and Andrew Yang.
There are 10 candidates still in the race who did not qualify for the third debate based on criteria established by the Democratic National Commitee: Tulsi Gabbard, Marianne Williamson, Steve Bullock, Tom Steyer, Tim Ryan, Bill de Blasio, Michael Bennet, John Delaney, Wayne Messam, and Joe Sestak.
The debate next Thursday, September 12th will be held at Texas Southern University, a Historically Black College and University, in Houston, Texas. It will run from 8:00-11:00 p.m. ET and be broadcast live on ABC and Univision. George Stephanopolous, David Muir, Linsey Davis, and Univision anchor Jorge Ramos will be the moderators.
Connecticut Democrats will hold the Presidential Primary next April 28th and will send 64 delegates (including 15 super (automatic) delegates to the Milwaukee convention.
BACKYARD PICNIC SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 14TH, 3-6 P.M.
The Democratic Town Committee (DTC) is holding a Backyard Picnic in support of the Row A municipal slates hosted by DTC members Isabelita and Santos Cancel on Saturday, September 14th from 3 to 6 p.m. at 406 Stanley Street, New Britain. The suggest donation is $25.
