Democratic Slate Rallies Early For November Election Stressing “Connecticut Values” And Fairness Over Trumpism

A Democratic unity rally brought Democratic nominees and primary candidates together on Saturday August 18th to Minuteman Park in Hartford outside the Legislative Office Building.

Gubernatorial Nominee Ned Lamont and nominees didn’t wait for Labor Day — the traditional start of the fall campaign — to urge Democrats, unaffiliated voters and even Republicans to choose “Connecticut values over Trump values.” Lamont urged more than 300 party members to join him in the campaign to stand for  “an economy that works for everybody.” Attorney General Nominee William Tong said the Democratic slate represents a “firewall” against a Republican ticket that is sticking to the Trump agenda, including federal tax cuts that are raising property taxes and will cost CT residents billions of dollars.

New Britain DTC Member and Videographer Frank Gerratana was on hand for the rally and recorded Lamont’s remarks.
