Town Committee Meets 5/19: Registrar, JPs, 25th & 26th State Reps To Be Endorsed

The Democratic Town Committee will meet on Thursday, May 19th, at New Britain City Hall for its 2016 municipal endorsement meeting. The meeting will begin at 7 pm and will be held in Room 504.

A new candidate for Registrar of Voters will be endorsed to succeed Registrar Juan Verdu who is not seeking re-election. Registrars are elected to four-year terms concurrent with the Presidential election.

25th State Representative Bobby Sanchez and 26th State Representative Peter Tercyak are seeking new terms in the state House of Representatives. On Tuesday May 17th conventions will be held to endorse the other members of New Britain’s House delegation, 24th State Rep. Rick Lopes and 22nd State Rep. Betty Boukus.   The 6th State Senate Convention where State Senator Terry Bielinski Gerratana is seeking re-nomination will be held May 23rd to round out a month of party endorsements and conventions.
