Brett Morgan Benefit Fund Established To Aid Officer Hurt In Hit And Run
All of New Britain is rallying behind support for and the recovery of young Police Officer Brett Morgan who was cut down last Sunday in a hit-and-run crime.
From the NBPD
Officer Brett Morgan is continuing to recover from his injuries, but remains in Intensive Care at an area Trauma Hospital at this time. The New Britain Police Department and New Britain Police Union has set up a fund to benefit Officer Morgan and his family to deal with expenses that have and will arise out of these criminal acts. The fund is the Brett Morgan Benefit Fund hosted at TD Bank. Any person who wishes to donate to this fund, can go to any TD Bank branch and ask to make a contribution to the Brett Morgan Benefit Fund c/o Robert Martin New Britain Police Department. You can also donate by mailing checks to the New Britain Police Department, Brett Morgan Benefit Fund, 10 Chestnut Street, New Britain CT, 06051. Checks should be made payable to the “Brett Morgan Benefit Fund.”
On Monday, Jan. 27th, Arlene & Dan Palmer invite patrons and visitors to honor Officer Brett Morgan and family at Leaves & Pages on West Main Street next door to City Hall. From every coffee, tea or hot chocolate purchase made during the day (6:30-2:00) we will be setting $1.00 per cup aside in a special basket. All of those proceeds will then be donated to Office Morgan’s benefit fund at the New Britain Police Department.
