Rep. Sanchez honored at New Britain Puerto Rican Society Dinner

State Rep. Bobby Sanchez, the city’s first Latino elected to the state legislature in a 2011 special election, was recognized at the Puerto Rican Society Festival’s dinner on Friday, July 5th, at the Society’s High Street Hall.

Mayor Tim O’Brien opened the dinner program with a proclamation designating July 6th Rep. Robert Sanchez Day in New Britain and praising Sanchez’ work in the community and organizing voters.
