Election Night at Whinstone Tavern: Row A All They Way Tuesday, November 8th!
New Britain Democrats will gather at the Whinstone Tavern, Stanley Golf Course, 245 Hartford Road after 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 8th. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at all locations. The Voting District 9 polling place will be at CCSU’s Student Center instead of Welte Hall for this election.
POWER OUTAGE DAY 6: Public Safety Line Is 860-826-3000
As of Thursday morning, 8:30 a.m. 13,063 New Britain households or 33% were still without power in their homes.
As reported by the Hartford Courant:
The city offers a warming shelter and opportunity to recharge cell phones at the high school (Mill Street) from 4 to 8 p.m., and has a full emergency shelter at the senior center (75 Pearl Street). The city provides meals there, along with cots for people who need to stay the night.
