A cause-related marketing campaign by Liberty Mutual Insurance is giving cities and towns across the nation an opportunity to compete for grants to support Fourth of July fireworks celebrations.
Economic recession and fiscal austerity has forced many communities, including New Britain, to cancel the celebrations. New Britain’s “Great American Boom” at Stanley Quarter Park has increasingly become a regional event.
Ward Five Alderman Carlo Carlozzi, Jr., a Liberty Mutual sales representative, has brought the “Bring Back the Fourth” contest to the attention of city officials and residents.
The deadline is Tuesday, June 14th to enter online contest that New Britain community members can enter for a chance to win one of ten $10,000 grants.
All you need to do is visit www.BringBackThe4th.com by June 14th and take a brief multiple choice quiz on “Responsible Moments in U.S. History.” Each completed quiz counts as one credit towards a city or town’s total score. Your vote counts by giving a New Britain zip code.
Great to see our elected public officials making efforts to representing our community more than just their name!!
Keep up the great work Alderman Carlo Carlozzi, Jr.!!!
