Official Primary Numbers: Democrat and Republican

The August 10th primary drew just under 20% of 16,926 registered Democrats in New Britain.
The results produced a win for all of the endorsed Democrats

Governor: Malloy 1825 — Lamont 1461
Lt. Governor: Wyman 1879 — Glassman 1292
Sec’y of the State: Merrill 1786 — Garcia 1282
Comptroller: Lembo 1970 — Jarjura 1028

In the New Britain Republican Gubernatorial Primary, Nominee Tom Foley edged Lt. Governor Michael Fedele 363 to 326 with Oz Griebel getting 231. For Congress, challenger Justin Bernier defeated nominee Sam Caliguri 327 to 303 with third candidate Mark Greenberg getting 269 votes. Caliguri, supported by New Britain’s GOP leadership, received only 34% of 899 Republican votes cast.
